,,Astaldi’’ begins works for highway Arad-Timisoara

ARAD- Arad- Timisoara highway has entered into execution phase. The Minister of Public Transports, Radu Berceanu, has signed, last week in Arad, the designing and execution contract of the road belt of Arad Municipality, which is part of Arad-Timisoara highway. The project shall be realized by the consortium of which the Italian company Astaldi and the Spanish group FCC Construction are part off.
Project Arad-Timisoara includes 32 km of highway and the estimated costs are around euro 270 millions, VAT included.
According to the contract, the execution of works will begin this spring and last for maximum 24 months.

 

  The old city of Timisoara wants to become a metropolitan area

Being the first European city that has benefited of public illumination (1884), Timisoara has been historically certified for the first time 730 years ago, under the name of „CastrumTemesiense”, name coming from Timis river. The settlement has developed from the urban point of view around a fortified centre of the old city, beginning with the XVI century.
Today, the real estate market of the land with residential destination has known a spectacular evolution both regarding demand/offer and prices. Thus, two-three years ago prices were about 2-3 euro/sqm, today, the amounts used vary between 20 and 1.800 euro/sqm, depending on utilities, access routes and neighborhood.

Still, when talking about the lands with residential destination, from Timisoara, we must have into consideration the fact that there is an interest also in the perimeter of the future metropolitan area.

Demand and offer on the market of lands with the residential destination of Timisoara and the limitrophe townships are passing through a phenomenon of accentuated diversification. The reasons for this process are the project of realization of the metropolitan area, extension of the town towards the suburbs and increase of the residential and commercial investments.

For two years now, the transaction price of a land from Timisoara has grown spectacularly up to an amount of l.800 euro/sqm. The local real estate agencies sustain that the applied prices are in a slower ascension (increase of 3-10 euro/year). This increase could happen especially due to the completion of the utility range and also due to the investments that are to be maid (construction of new residential neighborhoods and commercial spaces).For the nearby townships there is another reason for the inclusion within the metropolitan area.
